New book William & Catherine: Their Story
Andrew Morton may well have set a world record for speed in April when his book William & Catherine: Their Story went to print, complete with wedding photos, on April 29, 2011 – the day Prince William and Princess Catherine were married. The book, all 224 glossy and photo-filled pages of it, chronicles the early lives of both Prince William and Princess Catherine, now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as their early relationship, breakup, reconciliation, and wedding. Morton is best know for his 1992 biography Diana: Her True Story, which he wrote with the cooperation of Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana.
Morton was in Toronto on Thursday and The Post caught up with him at the Design Exchange, where a collection of Diana’s dresses are on display. The dresses – which include the black velvet number she wore to the White House State dinner, when she danced with actor John Travolta – will be auctioned off in Toronto on June 23. With Diana’s gowns as a backdrop, we sat down with Morton to talk about fashion, the recent Prince William and Princess Catherine's Royal Wedding, and whether the world will accept the switch from Kate to Catherine.
