Eclipse Diana's Popularity?
Who will be bigger? Lady Princess Diana, or Prince William and
Princess Catherine? It's a question British journalists get asked regularly and there doesn't seem to be much of a consensus in their answers. Arthur Edwards, a photographer with the British tabloid The Sun and the veritable granddaddy of royal tour journalists, is impressed with the ease that Prince William's new bride, Princess Catherine, showed during the royal couple Prince William and Princess Catherine's nine-day tour of Canada that wrapped up last Friday in Calgary.
"Princess Catherine has obviously taken to this new royal role like a duck to water," says Edwards, who has covered an incredible 225 royal tours during his 31 years as a news photographer. But the journalistic legend, who is regarded with much affection by every member of the Royal Family, doesn't seem to like the question that seeks to rank the popularity of Princess Diana, the Princess of Wales, against her son, Prince William and his wife, Princess Catherine.
