lost in the Epsom Derby.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Princess Catherine on their first public day out since marrying five weeks ago – comforted the monarch after Carlton House came a disappointing third.Punters in the stands were just as gloomy after losing an estimated total of €90million on backing the royal horse which had been 5/2 favourite to win the most famous flat race in the world. Meanwhile a smiling Kate clearly won in the style stakes looking radiant in a Ralph Lauren floaty chiffon dress and box jacket, twinned with an Issa hat and nude shoes from Reiss.
