Royal Gouple, Prince William and Kate
Given Flying Doctor Gift
In the past, it has been 500 tins of pineapple or silver platters, but
Prince William and Kate Middleton will get a $25,000 donation in their name
to the Royal Flying Doctor Service as their official wedding gift from Australia. The thoroughly modern present is in stark contrast to Australia's gift in 1981 to the parents of Prince William , Charles and Diana, of 20 handcrafted silver platters in a box of Australian blackwood.
It is also a change from the gift to the grandparents of Prince William , the Queen and Prince Philip, who were given 500 tins of pineapple by the state of Queensland after their wedding in 1947. The newest royal couple, to be married next week, requested Prince William and Kate be given no formal gifts, instead setting up a website where people can donate to 26 of their favourite charities.
I truly like to reading your post. Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a nice information. I'll definitely add this great post in my article section.
