Prince William and Princess Catherine Host Charity Dinner for Remembrance Center
Prince William and Princess Catherine hosted a charity dinner Thursday night, entertaining 120 guests at the Picture Gallery at St James’ Palace.The event was for the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal, which the Duke of Cambridge,
Prince William is a patron of. It is hoped that $19 million can be raised to turn the Arboretum in Staffordshire, which honors those who sacrificed their lives for their country, into a world-renowned center for Remembrance.The location currently has more than a quarter of a million visitors every year.
Addressing attendees at the event the Prince William said, “For Britons today, and for generations of Britons to come, the example of dedicating one’s life to helping and protecting others and to the service of our Country remains core to our values as a Nation.
