PRINCE William and his fiancee Kate Middleton arrived overnight in Northern Ireland in the latest stage of their pre-wedding tour of the UK. Security ahead of the one-day visit - Prince William's third official appearance alongside wife-to-be Ms Middleton - was particularly tight, Sky News reported.
The visit included a courtesy call on the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Pat Convery, who hosted a small reception for the couple at Belfast City Hall around 10.30am local time. The couple also mixed with a crowd of well-wishers in the forecourt outside the city hall, joining in traditional Shrove Tuesday pancake-making celebrations.
