Princess Catherine will visit the Solomon Islands in September. 
The royal couple will arrive in the country in the second week of 
September, according to Nigel Maezama, the Private Secretary 
to the Governor General.

A committee has been set up to prepare for Prince William and 
Duchess Catherine's visit and they have already been working on plans for their arrival.The couple, Prince William and Princess Catherine who married last April, will also be visiting Malaysia, Singapore, and Tuvalu.

Prince William was said to be furious and "very upset" after poachers killed a friend's beloved rhino in Africa. Max, an endangered white rhinoceros, was shot by hunters who then hacked off his prized horn.

The six-year-old animal had been hand-reared by Ian Craig, owner of the Lewa wildlife reserve, central Kenya, and father of the prince's old flame Jecca.
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, 29, spent weeks helping the conservation project in 2001, and met Max on later visits to Africa.

The Queen has sent her grandson, Prince William, a personal letter of thanks saying job well done after his official visit to Australia in 2011. Just weeks out from Prince William's marriage, the second-in line to the throne spent time in flood-ravaged parts of Queensland and Victoria in mid-March after having visited earthquake-devastated Christchurch in New Zealand.

"When I got back, then I got a letter from her (the Queen) saying 'Congratulations, well done, it was a very good trip' and words like that. There's a lot of gravitas behind them and you feel you've done a good thing and it's words like that that mean an awful lot," Prince William, now 29, told the BBC.
