Kitchen staff at the resort said they're feeling the pressure. "Right now, a lot," said Mitchell Jackson, the executive chef at Dalvay-by-the-Sea. "But I think we can handle it."

Earlier this month, the beloved couple took a minor PR hit when a source inside Buckingham Palace revealed that the Duke and Duchess, Prince William and Princess Catherine had advertised for a housekeeper and dresser, after much had been made of their decision to fend for themselves. This week, the Duke, Prince William's private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton took the fall, confessing in a press briefing that he had not "fully consulted" his employers before placing the ad.

Sources told People.com that the British royal couple Prince William and Princess Catherine's Northern California itinerary is not set in stone but that employees at Yosemite's famed Ahwahnee Hotel have been tipped off to the possible royal visit.

The Mary Curry Tressider Suite at the hotel has became known as "The Queen's Room" after a 1983 visit by William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, People.com said. The romantic suite features a four-poster canopy bed, to say nothing of a large bathroom with craftsmen-designed cabinets and bidet. Plus, a Queen's table is in the hotel's dining room. An employee at the hotel predicts this is where the couple would bunk if Prince William and Princess Catherine journey to the area after their tour through Canada.
